This is a reproduction of the crucifix worn by Our Lady when she appeared at La Salette France to Melanie & Maximin in the late 1800's. The pliers & hammer symbolize the tools of Christ's sufferings. The hammer represents our sins which nail Christ to the cross. The pliers represent our repentance and acts of reparation which pull out the nails with which our sins wounded Him.
